Finally Finished - the Girl Gang DIY Sampler Quilt! from A Prim and (not so) Proper Quilter

I know, I can't believe it either!

I started the quilt in 2016; I think it became a flimsy in 2016 and it went on my longarm in 2017. Two moves and 10 years later, it's finally finished.

My friend Vicki and I met over 30 years ago when our boys were in Scouting. Our oldest son, Jack, and her oldest son, Wesley, spent a lot of time at campouts, meetings and other scouting activities as buddies, and Vicki and I bonded over the fact that our boys were hopefully going in the right direction because they were scouts. First quarter of 2026 is in the books... from A Prim and (not so) Proper Quilter

..and progress was made.

Honestly, it's a miracle. I almost had a flimsy by March 31, but embroidery digitizing homework got in the way. But...I was very happy to have an epiphany moment while working on the homework (almost at the last minute) that made me feel so good about moving forward. I have, of late, been questioning my desire to commit to digitizing all the files I want to stitch for quilting my quilts. But that tiny peephole of light I saw last Monday was what spurred me on.

This week, and another finished quilt! from A Prim and (not so) Proper Quilter

What we’re doing during our sometimes-annual Snowmaggedon week.

Snowmaggedon is being re-nicknamed to Snowzilla. Or Sleetzilla. The snow came and came and finally stopped Sunday, and sleet was off and on all day Saturday and I think that night. But we’re still warm and toasty inside, and if we wanted to go anywhere, we couldn’t. I’m ok with it. The windchill has us in the negative digits this weekend and Monday; no thawing will happen until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest, but it will take awhile for this stuff to go away.
